The Bathtub Sophist is the home-recorded solo project of Hamiltonian, Arron Stewart. A mixture of organic and synthetic layers, the music covers a range of styles and moods.

His approach involves real and/or sequenced beats, guitar & bass work, keyboards, sound effects, midi comps, sampling, voice synthesizers, vox, object-foley, looping, field-recording, fractal/math generators and much more. An inventive, alternative artist with a strong D.I.Y ethos and a socially conscious mind, the Bathtub Sophist currently makes his material available to his fans for free under the philosophy of *buskernomics*.

In December of 2007, he released a six track E.P of demos, lost audio and rarities named "That Down-Home Astral Sound". The Standout demo songs, 'Jah Playground' and 'Space Junk' have been well received, gaining internet and radio play in a number of countries.

The five-track E.P "Music from an L-Shaped room" will be released independently on Monday the 2nd of June, featuring a typically varied and interesting mix of material: from industrialized metal through geeky punk rock, jazz infused alt, danceable electro-funk and a bittersweet, ambient instrumental. Two music videos are slated for production, and should be expected in the second half of 2008.
